PROF. EUIYOUNG CHUN
KOREA / KYONGGI UNIVERSITY
Eui-Young Chun is the president of the Korean Institute of Architects (K.I.A.) and a professor in the Department of Architecture at Kyonggi University. Since 2019, he has been working for the Seoul Metropolitan City Government as the Director General for the Seoul Architecture Festival. He served as the Director General of Gwangju Folly III, an exemplary model of public participation in an urban architecture project with the theme of everydayness in the city. This project was awarded the Presidential Prize for the Excellence of Space Culture by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism in 2017. Chun received a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Seoul National University and a master’s degree from Harvard University. He earned his Ph.D. from Seoul National University. In 2009, he also served as the Director General of the Seoul Design Olympiad for Seoul City."
천의영은 현재 한국건축가협회 회장이자 경기대학교 건축학과 교수입니다. 그는 2019년부터 서울시청에서 주관하는 서울건축축제 사무국장으로 일하고 있습니다. 도시의 일상성을 주제로 한 도시건축 프로젝트의 모범적인 시민 참여 모델이었던 광주 폴리 III의 사무총장을 역임했으며, 이 프로젝트는 2017년 문화체육관광부로부터 공간문화 우수상 대통령상을 수상했습니다. 천의영 교수는 서울대학교에서 건축학 학사, 하버드대학교에서 석사학위를 받았으며, 2009년에는 서울시 서울디자인올림피아드 사무총장을 역임하기도 했습니다.
