Nestled between Jongmyo Shrine and Changdeokgung Palace, this Hanok renovation conveys the enduring spirit of Korean aesthetics in a modern design language. Preserving original wooden beams and Hanji windows, the space reimagines light and movement to create a refined harmony of tradition and modernity. A stone-tiled Jacuzzi and a pine sculpture emerging through the wall bring nature indoors, while a mother-of-pearl mosaic wall transforms traditional craft into contemporary graphic art. More than a place to stay, it offers an immersive cultural experience, embodying the global vision of K-INTERIOR.

서울 종묘와 창덕궁 사이, 전통의 중심에 위치한 이 프로젝트는 한국 미의 지속 가능성을 현대적 언어로 표현한 한옥 리모델링입니다. 목 구조와 서까래, 한지 창호 등 한옥의 본질은 지키되, 빛과 동선을 재 해석해 전통이 가진 고유한 감성을 세련된 방식으로 드러냈습니다. 돌 타일로 만든 자쿠지와 벽면을 뚫고 자라난 듯한 소나무의 조형은 실내에서도 자연의 원형적 에너지를 느끼게 합니다. 또한 전통 자개 공예를 그래픽 적으로 재 해석한 모자이크 타일 벽은 ‘한국 미의 지속 가능성’ 을 상징합니다. 이 공간은 전통을 보는 것이 아니라 사는 경험으로 확장하며, 세계가 공감할 수 있는 새로운 K-INTERIOR 문화를 제안합니다.
