'Yeoui Roll Park' is an inclusive public playground for all, from wheelchairs to skateboards, welcoming riders of all abilities. Its innovative design enables users to connect, share moments, and cheer for each other. The track’s dimensions accommodate even the smallest wheelchair front wheels, creating a seamless, accessible riding experience for individuals with and without disabilities. By fostering natural social interactions, such as taking turns and celebrating impressive rides, the park redefines the concept of shared, inclusive recreational spaces, making active engagement and connection possible for everyone.

서울시는 코로나19 이후 운동ᐧ여가 활동이 줄어든 장애인과 노약자 뿐 아니라 청소년, 직장인, 워킹맘 등 넓은 범위의 다양한 약자(minorities)를 포용하는 공공디자인을 실행중이다. 일상 속 공공공간에서 다양한 운동과 놀이를 통한 신체 (Body)와 사회(social) 활동을 통해 건강한 커뮤니티를 만드는 것을 목표로 한다. 한강공원내 노후ᐧ유휴 공간인 교량하부를 리모델링한 '여의롤장'은 휠체어부터 밸런스 바이크, 킥보드 그리고 스케이트 보드까지 다양한 바퀴(wheels) 기구 사용자들이 숙련도에 상관없이 함께 라이딩(riding)을 할 수 있는 새로운 개념의 운동장이다. 휠체어와 자전거 이용자가 한 공간에서 라이딩을하며 자연스럽게 눈을 마주치고, 순서를 묻고 양보하고, 멋진 라이딩에 환호를 보내는, 독특한 사회적 교류의 (social activity) 모습이 만들어진다. 가장 작은 사이즈인 휠체어 앞 바퀴를 고려하여 디자인 된 라이딩 트랙의 높이와 폭은 장애인과 비장애인, 어린이 킥보드 사용자와 스케이트 보더가 각자 그리고 함께하는 새로운 라이딩 경험을 할 수 있다. 다양성을 상징하는 경쾌한 보라색으로 바닥과 벽면에 활동적인 그래픽을 입혀 시민들의 이목을 집중 시키고 도시의 어두운 교량 하부의 모습을 밝고 유쾌하게 만들었다.
