As single-person households grow, more people are treating their pets like family, especially cats due to their lower activity needs. However, individuals with full-time jobs often struggle to care for their cats. CASPER solves this by providing a fixed home camera for real-time monitoring and a mobile camera for remote interaction. It also offers a desk objet that uses tail movements to display the cat's status, making it easy for owners to stay updated while at work. The tail raises when stable, drops when stressed, and twists in emergencies. CASPER aims to strengthen the bond between owners and their pets beyond simple monitoring.

반려동물을 키우는 1인 가구 증가로 반려동물을 가족처럼 여기는 펫팸족이 늘고, 활동량이 비교적 적은 반려묘 선호도도 높아지고 있다. 하지만 직장생활을 하는 1인 가구는 반려묘의 상태를 항상 확인하거나 돌봐줄 수 없다는 어려움이 있다. CASPER는 반려묘의 상태와 위치를 실시간으로 확인할 수 있는 고정형 홈캠과 반려인이 잠시 자리를 비울 동안 원격으로 조절하여 반려묘와 상호작용 을 할 수 있는 이동형 홈캠을 제공한다. 이를 통해 반려인이 같이 있지 않아도 반려묘의 상태를 확인하고 놀이활동을 통해 교감할 수 있다. 특히 직장에서는 반려묘의 상태를 휴대폰으로지속적으로 확인하는 것이 어렵기 때문에, CASPER는 반려묘의 상태를 꼬리의 간단한 모션으로 전달한다. 안정 시 꼬리를 세우고, 스트레스를 받으면 수직으로 내리며, 긴급 상황에서는 꼬리를 옆으로 꼬아 상태를 직관적으로 전달한다. 데스크 오브제를 회사 내 사용자 책상 위에 놓아 수시로 반려묘의 상태를 한눈에 확인할 수 있도록 돕는다. CASPER는 단순히 반려묘의 상태를 모니터링하여 반려인에게 안도감을 주는 것을 넘어, 반려인과 반려묘 간의 관계를 더욱 깊이 발전시키는 것을 목표로 한다.
