O-oyster is an oyster aquaculture system and a wave power generator that embodies a cradle-to-cradle approach. Crafted from oyster shells and seaweed gel, its main structure can be deliberately sunk to the seabed when damaged, serving as an ecological reef to promote marine life. As it decomposes over time, it addresses environmental concerns associated with traditional aquaculture materials like plastic and styrofoam. O-oyster Equipped with duck-shaped power generators, it effectively protects aquaculture zones from damage by large waves. Expansion of oyster fields supports stable sea current oyster farming in deeper waters.

O-oyster是座具搖籃到搖籃思維的牡蠣養殖與海浪發電平台。 O-oyster主體採牡蠣殼與海藻膠製成,損壞時可沉入海底成為生態礁孕育海洋多樣生物,並隨時間逐步分解,改善過去養殖業使用塑膠、保麗龍、繩索造成的廢棄物問題,整體設計仿生鯨落過程,提供給海洋的生物與資源。 O-oyster可組建成海上牡蠣養殖田,蚵農可在船上或行走於O-oyster上進行養殖作業;並可外裝點頭鴨式波浪發電裝置,有效減低大浪所造成的養殖區破壞,擴大牡蠣田分布,達成深水區需穩定海流養殖牡蠣的需求。根據牡蠣養殖的時程,O-oyster可以在2至3年的週期中,搭配播種、成長與採收階段,完成保護養殖區域、回收再製牡蠣殼,並定期檢修波浪發電裝置。
