Park1538 Gwangyang is a newly created open space accompanying POSCO’s promotional and educational facilities, offering both everyday relaxation and event-oriented experiences. The Gallery Plaza features wave-shaped mounds that create a memorable landscape, while the open plaza provides unique interaction through smart light installations. The rooftop garden offers open views and regionally inspired planting that capture the charm of Gwangyang. Reflecting the city’s name, the courtyard forms a “wave of light,” becoming a sculptural plaza where natural waves seem to flow dynamically.

‘Park1538 광양’은 포스코의 기업 홍보관 및 교육관 조성과 더불어 새로이 마련된 오픈스페이스입니다. 공공의 장소로서 방문자들에게 일상적인 휴식과 이벤트적 경험을 동시에 제공합니다. ‘갤러리 광장’은 웨이브형 마운드를 통해 자연과 함께하는 마당으로 인상적인 장면을 제공하며, 오픈광장에는 스마트 라이트 조형물을 통해 독특한 경험을 선사합니다. 옥상정원은 열린 조망과 지역적 특색을 갖춘 식재를 통해 광양이라는 도시의 매력을 만끽할 수 있도록 구성하였습니다. 광양이라는 도시의 이름처럼 ‘빛의 물결’을 만 들어내는 건축의 마당은 ‘자연의 물결’이 역동적으로 굽이치는 인상적 조형의 광장입니다. 광장을 구성하는 웨이브형 마운드는 건축과 조경의 설계언어를 일치시켜 경관 전체를 통합하는 조형임과 동시에, 대상지 곁을 흐르는 섬진강 하구와 광양만이 담고 있는 물결을 은유하는 핵심요소입니다. 땅을 넘나드는 흐름은 그 안에 다양한 식재들을 오롯이 담고 있어 풍성한 자연이 함께하는 광양의 새로운 명소를 제공합니다. 녹색이 충만한 광장은 방문자들에게 여유로운 일상과 독특한 경험을 제공하면서도 포스코가 지향하고 있는 친환경적 미래가치를 담아 냅니다.
