This showcase which we designed exhibits silly but desperate moments on the road. Many social media channels spread funny memes, including many car accidents. Sudden destruction was filmed from an observer's or driver's view and shared through Social Media as entertainment. This giddy scene allows you to think about what social media might brings and how it works. Splinters of demolition express unpredictability and stretched typefaces represent uncontrollable speed. These are both features of social media and also car crashes.

여러 SNS 채널에서 도로를 배경으로 한 밈들이 공유되고 있다. 이들은 도로 위의 엽기적인 행각들 또는 갑자기 들이닥친 돌발 파괴현장이 관찰자의 시점으로 촬영된 영상들이다. 이 아찔한 과거는 뉴미디어 안에서 반복가능한 현재로서 소비되는데, 현장을 그대로 눈앞에 재생해주는 단순한 복원의 기능에 더하여, 말초신경을 자극하는 오락의 기능을 함께 수행하며 전시된다. 사건 당사자나 목격자의 즉각적인 반응으로 생생한 현장감을 더하고 간혹 극적인 연출을 위한 배경음원이 삽입되기도 한다. 자칫 인명피해로 이어질 수도 있는 위험천만한 사고임에도 이 모든 것은 뉴미디어 안에서 희화화 되고 흥밋거리, 볼거리로서 재편집된다. 본 전시는 이렇듯 익숙하기도 또 기괴하기도 한 뉴미디어 사용행태를 다시금 성찰할 기회를 제공한다. 예측불가능성과 통제불가능한 확산속도는 뉴미디어와 교통사고가 갖는 공통된 특징이다.
