PROF. BAO HAIMO
CHINA / DALIAN MINZU UNIVERSITY
Bao Haimo received a B.S. degree in Industrial Design from Harbin Engineering University in 2000 and an M.S. degree in Industrial Design from Jiangnan University in 2003. In 2004, he served as a visiting scholar at the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University. Since 2003, he has been working at the School of Design, Dalian Minzu University, where he currently holds the position of dean. His research focuses on designing and developing original products based on core technology and exploring intelligent children’s toys. Currently, he holds 6 invention patents and more than 300 utility model patents. Over the years, Bao Haimo has led his team, BHMO Design, in the field of industrial design. They have received numerous awards in international design competitions, including IDEA (2 Golden awards, 8 Bronze awards, and 92 Finalists awards), Red-Dot Concept Award (4 Best of Best awards, and 57 Red-Dot awards), and iF Design Concept (10 Best awards, 2 Special Awards, and 22 Top awards).
